Only a fool would say this is a bad draft. I'm very excited. We did about everything I'd hoped we would do.

Love the draft so far. If half of these guys pan out, we are looking to be very competitive for years to come.

i agree this can be our best draft ever if the players live up to expectaions, certainly a more complete draft in terms of adressing needs than even last year, but before i reserve my flight to the super bowl i'll wait and see.

    here's the skinny on Bannon

Yale fullback Shane Bannon flew well under the radar as a lead blocker in the Ivy League.

However, the 6-foot-1, 270-pounder made an impression at his pro day with a 4.69 in the 40-yard dash.

"The kid is a stud," Joe Linta, Bannon's agent, told the National Football Post. "I had never heard of the kid before a coach at Yale told me about him. He's a good looking kid, catches every pass, light feet and he's blowing up people on the film. He's got some position flexibility, too. He can play fullback or be an in-line tight end."

    Bannon registered a 9-3 broad jump, a 29-inch vertical leap, a 4.2 in the 20-yard shuttle, a 7.1 in the three-cone drill and a 12.1 in the 60-yard shuttle.

Last season, Bannon caught a career-high 13 passes for 122 yards and won the Jim Keppel Award as the Yale Offensive Back of the Year.

He played football, track and hockey in high school.

Very, VERY solid draft....filled a lot of positions of need...only ???'s I have is will these guys perform...I know a few of them are questionable character guys but they must've done something to impress the regime...can't wait for the season to start

Bannon played hockey? Already a favorite of mine. Fullback is a funny position, most seem to be undrafted or late rounders it seems

Best draft that Pioli has had with the Chiefs thus far. No reaches & great value picks from top to bottom.
