There is no link to share, so I'll copy/paste the article below from Sports Illustrated several yrs. ago. I've been a bit down & sad the last few days, having no choice but to interact with some negative selfish lost souls, for lack of a better description. It honestly hurts my heart to see people who 'don't get it'...don't get what genuinely matters in life, make themselves & those around them miserable for reasons that really don't matter at all when it's all said and done. Some do eventually 'get it', often it's too late, some never will 'get it'.

This man did, he 'got it'. He is my definition of a genuine hero, not simply because he sacrificed his life to save others, but because of the way he lived his daily life...he didn't talk the talk and walk in contradiction, he truly walked the walk, quietly. Joe Delaney set an example which continues to influence others positively in spirit, I know this because he certainly influences me.
