I go back and forth on this one. For the average person, the GS is a waste of money.

BUT - there are those that could NEVER learn how to do something simple, because they will not try. They are afraid of doing it. $80 is like doing it with insurance. Most of the money is "wasted", but if they had tried it on their own and messed it up, it would have cost more than $80 (maybe memory stick is not the right example though).

Then, to cover salaries & advertising and all the VW Bugs, what do you charge to keep it alive?

Bottom line: GS is not for me, but if my mother used it, I wouldn't be upset --> she has no choice since she has no friends with knowledge and her kids live out of town.

(Isn't this the same philosophy for people who do routine maintenance on your car? Oil change? Rotate tires? etc.? It's a higher premium, but still paying others more than it would cost you.)

I pay $20 for an oil change and that is dirt cheap compared to what BB gets away with charging for even easier repairs and maintenance. I don't compare BB to mechanics at all.

Hey guy, I wasn't referring to anyone tech in particular, just the lax attitude they have in general.

I'm sure there are a lot of good techs that work for them, it's the overall corporate attitude they have in general.

O i know. I was just stating that I am one of the few that actually try to help peeps out, not just screw them over. I completely understand what u are saying.
