    Default steve slaton?

He was released by the texans yesterday, getting some young fresh legs in the backfield would be a great idea. Not to mention if need be he can handle rushing 20 times a game. Thoughts?

I personally love the idea... Thomas Jones has me and hopefully the chiefs organization that he has simply lost his explosiveness... and rightfully so. He is 33 I think. Battle is a 3rd stringer and a mediocre one at that.

Slaton is 25 with a solid amount of upside and we could get him for cheap. There are a lot of concerns surrounding him with injury and fumbleitis...

But at this point what do we have to lose?

Can't hurt, though Texans RBs seem to be like Denver ones. Easily replaceable and a product of the lines/schemes. Which isn't a surprise with Kubiak in charge.

My question is why did the Texan's let him go?

I guess this could be why he was let go...reading really is fundamental.
