Default Possible to get competent refs in a game?

Not much to say about tonight's game.. Officials ruin a drive with a TERRIBLE holding penalty and what happens? HUGE momentum swing and Patriots come back and score on a 52 yard pass play. They have now scored 24 unanswered thanks to Goodell and his incompetency. Who puts officials with little league experience in a Monday Night Football game?

Also, where was the hit on a defenseless receiver penalty? I've seen that called all year, but all of a sudden it isn't called because they're the Patriots? You see Hali's shirt and DJ's jersey? Can they hold any more? They need to learn that there's another team on the field.

Patriots have what, 0 penalties so far? Hah, right.

This has been something I've seen all year and not with just the Chiefs playing. I saw plenty of BS in the Bengals/Ravens game that I thought was just ridiculous as well. They need to get some people out there that actually know what to look for and not just call penalties because they need to make sure the underdog doesn't win.

You got to be kidding. You're going to blame this on Refs?

So you can tell me, without batting an eye, that the momentum wasn't completely changed because of a bad holding penalty? Do you not understand momentum swings? If that holding penalty isn't called, the Chiefs get at least 3, if not 7, and the Patriots are still scoreless.

Yes, they had blown coverage on the 52 yard pass, but again, that doesn't happen because KC still has the ball or has already put the points up on the board.

Okay, so even with that holding call, there's still the defenseless receiver thing. If that's called right, then there's no interception, and no points for the Patriots. I guess I'm the only one that sees these things?

Yes, I can blame the officials for momentum swings. I've seen it before and it will continue happening in the future for other teams. GG until the 5 minute mark in the 2nd Q.

No it was changed when Palko missed a wide open WR. Then another drive he threw a bad pass, got tipped, and was intercepted.

I understand your frustration. But it's not a bad call. It's lack of depth. Lack of game plan, it's lack of consistancy, and missing some great players. Nothing to do with the Refs. bad calls come and go. I feel ya. not dogging you.

I'll tell you this. Unless you've done it, then I'll stand corrected. Try being a ref. then try being a ref for a higher level league. then think about these guys. They do a great job and can't see everything in fast motion like we do on TV. It's a ball busting job and they want to do a good job. The worst thing those guys can do is find out they messed up. They hate it. I ref'd once. It was awful. I think they do the best a human can do.

Here I thought it was the 3 int's that Palko threw and a 52 yr TD pass that was what determined the game. Hmm, must have been the refs though.
