Default David Mims added to 53 man roster

The Kansas City Chiefs have confirmed that OT David Mims has been signed to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. The roster spot came open after the Chiefs released OT Jared Gaither.

Very interesting. The writer goes on to wonder if the release of Gaither might possibly be in part due to Mims showing alot more than the Chiefs expected or if Gaither ended up fulfilling the reputation he had in Baltimore.

I would absolutely love Mims hit the ground running and surprise everyone by challenging Richardson right now.

Dude is a beast! like 1inch shy of Gaither, and he was the tallest guy in the NFL

If we replace Lilja with a bigger LG, we could have a massive offensive line.

When we first got Mims in training camp I was very excited about this guy, if I remember right he has never had an OL coach. Mims could be the future of the Chiefs OL. He is young enough to become much stronger and with some coaching should be a very smart player. He is from a conference that does not have the defenses to challenge him. I think in 2 seasons he will be a beast. He has always lacked coaching and has a lot to learn, and it will take some time. I have high hopes for this guy!

I think maybe they need to sit someone else and move Shaun Draughn,RB of pratice squad. As bad as our running game is he might help. couldn`t be any worse than Jones. But if they move him up it might take away carries from Jones and that wouldbe a no-no.
i can remember what a chief super bowl team looks like! ......

We also added a couple guys to the practice squad:

Zeke Markshausen, WR (who we had during pre-season, I think), and Rob Bruggeman, who is listed as a center. I don't know much about either one.
