    There wasn't any and most teams rarely activate 3 QBs anymore! In the past your 3rd string QB didn't count against your active roster but if he came in your first and 2nd string QBs could not re-enter the game. That rule was changed this year and rather than carry 3 QBs on the game day roster most teams use that last roster spot for depth at another position.

    In an emergency, most teams have a running back or wide receiver with some QB experience (college or high school) who can come in and run a handful of plays. Walter Payton actually did this once for the Bears and was surprisingly pretty good!
