Never knew how they keep the fuel supply flowing. Thought this was interesting.

oh I did TS. but the vid is a little deceptive. it does not show the time frame. the cable did not reach Normandy till August. code name
Bambi. the allies brought with them the mulberry harbor system which was sunk off the beach on D day. supply ships of all kinds off loaded supplies there including fuel. problem was the AO's were very slow when fully loaded. and required a massive escort system to keep the German's from sending them to the bottom. so the idea of a pipeline was born an became a reality.
