Yeah, I know the traditionalists will hate these. With Nike taking over the NFL contract next month I cranked out some Pro Combat-inspired uniforms for use in Madden.

I personally have a huge database going back 10 years with hundreds of data splits that automatically generates Madden ratings.
All I need is a player's height, weight, 40 time, draft position and career stats and I can generate their Madden numbers. It took me months to compile and because every player is evaluated using the same algorithms I never have an overrated or underrated player in the game the way that EA does.
It aggravates me to no end the way that EA favors the big-market teams and whatever teams are the flavors of the year. It's the other biggest reason I greatly prefer the PC version to shelling out $60 a year on their BS.
I could probably kill in a fantasy football league if I took any interest in them.
I'd love it too if EA would bring the next-gen graphics to the PC if and only if it were in a form that we could get into files and mod to our liking.
Unlike several NFL franchises, the Chiefs' uniform design has essentially remained the same throughout the club's history.[1] It consists of a red helmet, and either red or white jerseys with the opposite color numbers and names.[1] White pants were used with both jerseys from 1960–1967 and 1989–1999.[1] After a brief disappearance, the Chiefs re-introduced the all-white uniform combinations for the 2006 season.
Although many NFL teams in recent years have worn their dark jerseys with their dark pants, the Chiefs have to yet to unveil an all-red combination. When the Chiefs wear their red uniforms, they always wear white pants. The Chiefs have never worn an alternate jersey in a game, although gold jerseys with red numbers trimmed in white, and black jerseys with red numbers trimmed in gold, are sold for retail.
The white jersey–red pants combination was not used between 1989 and 1999, primarily during the period when Marty Schottenheimer was the team's head coach. In 2006, under new head coach Herman Edwards, the Chiefs wore white uniforms with white pants at home against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Following Lamar Hunt's death on December 13, 2006, the Chiefs wore the all-white combination for road games against the San Diego Chargers on December 17 and Oakland Raiders on December 23. It is said the all-white combination was a tribute to Hunt, who reportedly favored the all-white uniforms. The team wore the all-white combination in their playoff game versus the Indianapolis Colts. The team did not wear the all-white combination during the 2007 and 2008 seasons.
And please don't refer to my opinion as asinine, white is not considered a true color rather the absence of color. black is a combination of colors yellow red and blue. although to be perfectly accurate black also is considered a hue and not a true color. asinine or not!
Official Chiefs Crowd Historian
I'm aware of the history of their uniform combinations as I've read that wiki before.
I happen to be of the opinion that a change in uniforms is not necessarily a bad thing. Denver changed their uniforms and won two Super Bowls. The Patriots did also and have created a dynasty. If you look at the participants in the Super Bowl for the last decade the majority have made revisions in their uniforms in recent history. It's like buying a new suit before a big presentation, it's a shot of confidence, of shaking the past or a new way of thinking. The Chiefs haven't been to the Super Bowl in nearly 4 decades, maybe it's time to buy that new suit.
I knew that would come up and actually the Packers and Steelers have made subtle changes to their uniforms over the years. Not complete overhauls mind you but much more than the Chiefs. They are also much more liberal in using their option to wear their throwback uniforms. Same goes for the Bears and Saints of the mentioned Super Bowl teams of the past decade. The Bears wear their alt orange jersey fairly often and their throwbacks. The Saints brought back their all-black uniforms and have been wearing their numerous throwbacks more often in recent years.

Welcome to The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database!
According to this the Packers make some kind of change every couple of years and major changes about once a decade.

While the basic design has been the same since '68 they recently ('97) changed the font to the round numbers. They added the "new" throwback in 2007 and wear it as often as the NFL rules allow.
Just because you make changes to your uniforms does not mean you're giving up the teams heritage.
