    Default Tom Condon

I did not know until tonight that he was a former Chiefs offensive lineman. Has anyone else had a face palm moment like that before when you find out something you honestly should have known for a long time?

Wow I didnt know that either. That must be why he's so fond of the Chiefs.

Best I remember he and the King Carl did not seem to get along together very well. But I did remember he played for the Chiefs.

To give you an idea when Tom Condon played:

1974 10th rd. draft pick- RG

Other players drafted the same year:
Ed Too Tall Jones, Lynn Swan, Jack Lambert, Dave Casper, John Stallworth, John Capelletti ("Something for Joey" story) and Mike Webster. This was the Steelers' monster year in the draft with 4 HOF's.

    He blocked for these QB's:
    Dawson, Livingston, Fuller, Kenney, Blackledge

He left the team in 1985 for the Patriots(was on their first Super Bowl team against the Bears)

The Chiefs had one winning season during his tenure-'81 with a 9-7 record and two .500 seasons -'80 and '84

King Carl was not hired until '88(Dec.) so his and Condon's relationship was through players contracts.

Probably a word or two passed between them but I believe some mutual respect.
These two did broker the Montana deal.

    the guy has clout

I forget who he represented that they had a battle about, I think it was a lineman that was late signing and there was a big deal and King Carl used some vulgarity which offended the play but I just don't remember the name. I know he has a lot of important players and is called the most powerful agent by some.

Yes John Tait but Condon was not his agent. Ethan Lock, Tait's agent
