well romo i think is injury prone. so orton prolly looked at how many times kitna had to come in for romo.
Seems like the Pioli/Cassell marriage will last another year. If we can sign a quality running back like Tolbert, and fill our holes on the line then we should be ok on that side of the ball. I would much rather be "good" on that side of the ball and sign a QB that will push him.

One shoe drops. Next will be Carr. Sorry guys, but all you who were hoping somehow we'd keep him, La Canfora said JJ is ready to open up the piggy bank to grab him. His agent and JJ are deep in negotiations and a deal is expected today, or tomorrow at the latest.
Dallas Cowboys sign Kyle Orton to back up Tony Romo - NFL - Sporting News
Well, our QB situation just got more interesting.
Nice Contract. Sad to see him go.
Here is a link with information on this deal with the Dallas Cowboys.
Cowboys sign Brandon Carr for five years, $50.1 million | ProFootballTalk
Yep, it is sad to see him leave but I do believe he has had a liking for the Cowboys so I am not to surprised he ended up in Dallas. I had hoped his being a dynamite duo with Brandon Flowers might entice him to stay but... ah, well, thanks for your time as a Chief Mr. Carr and best of luck to him in Dallas.Cowboys sign Brandon Carr for five years, $50.1 million
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Cowboys have signed cornerback Brandon Carr to a five-year, $50.1 million contract.
The contract is worth $100,000 more than Cortland Finnegan’s reported deal with St. Louis.
Just moments after longtime Cowboys reporter Charean Williams wrote on Twitter that Carr was “close” to signing with Dallas, Schefter broke the news that the contract has been finalized.
Carr, who turns 26 in May, is a big, physical press cornerback with playmaking ability. He has safety size at 6-foot, 207 and set a career high with four interceptions last season.
In Dallas, Carr will book end Mike Jenkins on the perimeter of the Cowboys’ secondary.
Go Chiefs!

CB Brandon Carr on signing a five-year contract with the Cowboys: “I'm ecstatic. It's been a long, long time and I've been waiting for this opportunity. To not only secure myself financially but also to elevate my game to be at the highest level, which is the Dallas Cowboys. Now it's time to turn my game up another notch.” (source)

Told You So!
Was Carr a restricted or unrestricted FA?
