Would it be a good thing if the Extra Point after a Touchdown would be removed? And a touchdown was automatically 7 points.
Yes
No

change for the sake of change is not good. change the rule about breaking the plane of the goal line to come down in the endzone like it used to be, start allowing defensive backs to defend, stop calling roughing on any lineman who breathes on a QB, but not the x-point.

No way. Blocked or missed extra points often have a HUGE impact on a game.
I think they should go the other direction, instead of just extra point or two point conversion and a third option, you can have you kicker try a 55 yard FG if you make it you get 3 points but if you miss it's a turnover on downs.
I wouldn't want to do that after a TD, but I have had another thought.
The MISL (Major Indoor Soccer League) used to have a 2 point goal. If a goal was kicked from beyond midfield (30 yds indoors) and it went in without anyone on the kicking team touching it, it was worth 2 points.
So, how about a 4 point field goal? If the line of scrimmage is the 40 or farther, which would make it at least a 58 yd FG, it would be worth 4 pts instead of 3. This would be rare except at the very end of a half because they odds of making it are slim and you would give your opponent really good field position if you missed, but the extra point might induce some teams to go for it in certain situations.
The NFL record is 63 yds, but the college record is 69 yds and the high school record is 68 yds. (Check out this impressive list.) There are plenty of guys who can kick it that distance. Accuracy is another story.
It's just something that I think would add another fun wrinkle to the game.

This space is reserved for something that has nothing whatsoever to do with MatthewsChiefs. (Whoever THAT is!)
this would be an absoulute dumb idea.no offense against the author at all .but for gawd sakes what ever happend to if it is not broke dont fix it .the nfl is perfectly fine as is now.even better a few years ago before they tried tweaking a rule here and there.LEAVE IT ALONE
graham gano has kicked 67,65, & 64 yd fgs in high school in 2004...wonder what ever happened to him???
