Today was date day for my GF and I.

We went and had japanese food, some drinks, and then broke down and did the unthinkable...

We bought a computer at Wal-Mart.

(Not recommended to anyone who is not a computer tech!)

We also got a wireless router (behind the times, I know).

I have been setting everything up and have not caught up on all posts, and am sitting down to drink my beer.

Overall it was a pretty good day, but blowing a grand was depressing, yet necessary.

Anyways this is a new thread where we can post whore.

Sorry, apparently seaweed salad doesn't agree with me, just spent a few minutes worshiping the porcelain idol.

Blech!

Any way I saw some Dells there but they were too expensive for what I was looking for.

I got a Compaq with a 19" LCD monitor.

It has 2GB DDR2 RAM, a Dual Core AMD Processor, DVD burner, came with mouse and keyboard, Vista Home Premium...

It is a piece of junk, but I stopped myself from spending about $2,500 building my own with specs near that.

The tower is pitifully un-upgradeable. When I want a bad-a$$ computer and don't have alot of money, this is what I do.


Get the extras cheap at Wal-Mart and then go and buy the things it takes to upgrade at a local PC shop run by m0ef0e (great prices, great location, and excellent service!).

Man, I am never eating seaweed salad again.

Seeing it written makes it seem like such a bad idea.
