Default Cashing in on my team's ineptitude?

In more than 40 years of ups and mostly down's, I've never once bet against my beloved Chiefs. This week, however, my disgust in the direction this team has taken, and the fact I really could use a little extra cash will force me to bet pragmatically rather than emotionally for once. You see I'm still alive in a big suicide pool and have not used The Steelers yet. Seems like a no brainer, no? In fact, one consolation for my team s*#king so badly is that if I now bet against them every week (except for the Broncos games since I've already used them), I stand a fair chance of cashing in on more than 10Gs. Now, flaming aside ... though I will accept any as deserving .... are there any remaining games that you think we have a chance at winning that I should avoid?

Not sure where the downside is coming with Barkley other than he plays at USC. Had he entered the draft in 2011, he would have been a top 10 pick. His problem this year is that his supporting cast isn't as good as it was in 2011.

I don't see an alternative. Whether it be Barkley or Smith, the Chiefs have to take one of those guys if they have the chance & they should take another QB in rounds 2 - 7, as well.

Agree completely. If we're so worried about our qb being a bust take the best with the #1 then draft another later for depth. If anything attract a new coach or GM here by having the chance to get a franchise QB.

The only other alternative that I can think of is maybe working a reasonable trade with Washington for Kirk Cousins. You may be possibly getting a Trent Green type of player in Cousins. It's no bigger of a risk than drafting a QB. They could keep their 1st round choice & perhaps trade down a few slots and take Te'o the LB from ND, who can play in a 3-4 or 4-3. Perhaps this is the route that they should go.

Barkley is strong, smart, and can make all of the throws.

    I want Barkley.

Barkley or Smith ... either would be an immediate upgrade. Not the best draft year though. Tough luck (pun intended) that we didn't s*ck as badly last year. Thanks for the replies and suprising lack of flaming.

I'll echo Coach's sentiment about being careful against Carolina.

The other one I'd say would be the Broncos. Granted they have Manning now but for whatever reason one game a year we put up a defensive stand that rivals the #1 defense in the NFL. Not sure how or why it's just for one game but we do.

Enjoy your winnings, I doubt you'll get flamed by anyone here.

    Barkley reminds me of Stafford.

At least something good came of that game. Good luck the rest of the way.
