Did you seek Shockey trip D'angelo Hall?

He got up and shrugged like "What else could I do, I stopped a touchdown?"

Then on the sidelines he was grinning after the play!

    Classic Shockey!

I dont know that classic is the word to use,

You see the word Classic contains the word class,

    Something Shockey Does not.

    Maybe typical, not classic.

Like him, or not, Shockey is a tank with the ball and a great blocker too. Plus, while it was kind of a dirty play, tripping Hall, it was what was best for the team, at that time.

It wasn't the right play...that's only the right play if you're

    a) the kicker or QB and you can't tackle for crap

    b) your the last guy to stop a TD...

Shockey wasn't the last guy and it was a dirty cheap play...Coughlin probably congratulated him on the sideline though...

The 49ers own my heart, but the Chiefs will always hold a better than neutral spot for giving my favorite player a place to leave with grace...

I didn't see anyone else who was going to stop Hall. I think it did save a TD and I would hope that Gonzales would do the same thing, if neccessary.

At least he didn't grab the guys facemask from behind and pull as hard as he could like someone in Arizona we know.
THAT quarterback is NOT a Pro Bowl quarterback. Never was and never will be.

All he really did was to go low against the block, like what Matt Hasselebeck did in the Super Bowl a couple of years ago. He didn't leg-whip anyone.

There were still two guys to beat (although one may have been Manning so really only one)

It looked to me like the penalty was called for the illegal block, and not the tripping.

He definitely whipped his legs around, but now that I think about it, he may not even have known that he was going to trip Hall.

Either way it was funny how he reacted!
