    donks react

The Chiefs scored on that one. The AFCW will be a different story next year.
Be interesting to see what the Chiefs do this offseason. If they become a verticle team it might be good for Von Miller, but he could easily make the chiefs dangerous as they have a solid D already.
seems to be some concern out there now

Gotta say I am VERY PLEASED!!!! Is he the best of all the names that have been tossed around here for the last month or two? No. I'd have been more excited about Gruden, Cowher and some of the others. But I honestly believe we got the very best guy that would have been willing to even consider coming to KC. So that makes the Reid hire a HOME RUN in my book!!!

Are we going to win the AFC West and the go to the Superbowl next year. No. But I am confident we will have a much better season than we did last year and that within 2-3 years we will be in the playoffs again. And this time I think we will finally get that playoff win we have been missing for so long!

THE CHIEFS ARE ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY!!!!

Also have to hand it to Clark Hunt.....He found what he wanted, got him on the mat and didn't let up until he signed. GREAT JOB Mr. Hunt!!!!!!

Seems like the owner of our team has decided that in addition to making money he is going to wade right in and make damned certain we the fans get a quality team in return for the money we spend.

Go, Clark Go!!!!!! Make Lamar PROUD!!!!!

BIG TIME!!!!!! And if the story is true then I think it is GREAT that Reid and DV have that kind of relationship.

I think it would be for the good if Reid felt he could call DV from time to time and pick his brain.

DV has been out of the game for a while and I think the days when he could have been a great coach are probably gone. The game has changed since he last stalked the sidelines. But he was always an offense minded coach and the NFL is becoming a more offense minded game every year. I think having DV to bounce idea's off could be a valuable asset to Reid as he goes about the job of bringing us back a winning team.

In short, I am optimistic again and the MISERY that was the 2012 season is erased from my mind! I think it is going to be fun being a Chiefs fan again!!!!

EXCELLENT!!!!!! From all I have read, DV is happy in retirement, but I'd bet he still keeps an eye on football and would love to feel he still had some "input". And I think that input could be valuable.

Gotta hand it to Clark for moving swiftly and decisively regarding this matter. The 2012 regular season hasn't even been over for a week and the issue is already settled.

And kudos, and a great BIG thank you to Dick Vermeil for his influence & helping to get the matter settled so quickly.
