How can any sane coach forget about Charles? He will lose carries I think but he will make it up in screens and dump off passes.
Does anyone remember Brian Westbrook? He was a running back and look what Reid did with him!!! I seriously doubt he will be forgotten I think Reid will use him more than we did this season.
When all is said and done after the preseason I wonder how our hirings, signings and draft picks and playbook, et al. will affect Jamaal Charles fantasy draft stock?
I wouldn't worry about it, our guy can play, I'm sure Coach Reid knows this and we'll see some packages built around his A-Class skill-set.
Reid had some good backs in Philly, but they weren't home-run hitters like Charles. Reid will see to it Charles gets his chances. He knows talent when he sees it.
That said, my biggest hope is that Reid puts together a formidable passing game to force opponents to defend the entire field -- something opposing defenses haven't had to do since Trent Green was the QB, and it makes Charles accomplishments all that more remarkable.
Hiring Andy Reid is great news for Jamaal, his career will last longer and he will still be able to provide the same production he has since being a Chief.
A "pass-happy" offense is going to be the best thing that ever happened to JC! He'll get less carries but just as many yards because the defense won't be keying on him like they did this year, his body will get less beat up and he will have a longer career.
In addition he will break out more often and get more open field running. He is going to tear the NFL up next year!
McCoy is no slouch either.
