Default John Harbaugh is unimpressed by Manti Te'o's 40

John Harbaugh watched Manti Te'o's 40, and he didn't seem impressed at all.

Manti Te'o ran a 4.80 40-yard dash, unofficially, which really isn't that good. It's only part of the draft stock puzzle, sure, but Te'o's 40 has been a story throughout the morning. And when it came time to show what he can do, he just didn't do all too well.

So we can all agree he's not the second coming of Ray Lewis, right?

No, no, no...That is really his impressed look. He does that to throw off all the other coaches and scouts there.

I know you should never make a decision on one game, but man was he exposed in that championship game. Just was always late in getting to where he should be. missed tackles. looked very average on a big stage.

Looks like a good pick at #34 overall though. He'll be a good/not great player. I could see him making a couple Pro Bowls but not perennially.

Id be more curious to see what his times were on something like a shuttle drill or 3 cone drill. No one runs 40 yards in a straight line unless you are a WR that has gone uncovered.

The problem wasn't his 40 time...it was the split on his first 10 yards..that was one of the slowest at the position. He will get drafted, but unless he comes in at his pro day closer to the 4.70 he had as a goal he very well may slip to the 2nd round.

The 49ers own my heart, but the Chiefs will always hold a better than neutral spot for giving my favorite player a place to leave with grace...

On ESPN they were talking about LB that had slow 40 times (ray lewis being one) but still played great in the NFL. Last year a kid ran a 5.01 or something and was a great rookie linebacker (or espn lied to me, which that could happen). But second coming of Ray Lewis......no he needs to kill 2 guys
