alot of smokescreens going on right now. but i really hope they did not bring robinson in to be the primary cb opposite of flowers. because his pass coverage skills have greatly diminished the last couple of years.
If this IS their move to fill the starting CB spot, I've gotta say, I'm a bit underwhelmed. I honestly expected a MUCH bigger move at one of Reid's pet positions. I realize we have little cap space with which to maneuver, but for the contract rumored to be given to Robinson, I feel like we could've done better for the money. Being that the guy is 31, I fully expect the CB position to be an area of emphasis over the next couple seasons.
Not a horrible move, but definitely not what I was expecting from Andy Reid at this position. Hopefully, Robinson doesn't hinder the team too badly against Peyton and Phillip twice a year.
Better then losing picks for spoiled players.
the thoughts out there are that dunta will move to safety and they will add another corner like smith

And/or they are wanting to take a longer look at Arenas and Jalil Brown. I will grant you that Brown hasn't shown a whole lot yet as a CB, but he was one of the league's best punt coverage guys so the Chiefs brass may not be willing to push him out of the picture just yet & one has to remember it took Brandon Carr until his 3rd season before he really came on as viable cover corner. Time will tell, of course.
Chiefs will/have sign(ed) another CB... (let's call it a hunch )
If Robinson is to start for us, add him to the list of old over the hill FA's we've signed over the years; Law, Dishman probably forgetting one or two
