What would you think of the Chiefs bringing him in and give him a try? Maybe something clicked in his head and he got a brain to go with that rocket arm.

I don't know if he's mobile enough for Reid's system. I also don't know how he does with progressions. I don't see him as being the prototypical "west coast" QB. That being said, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't allow him to come compete on a base salary.
Never ever.. hey maybe we can get Ryan leaf when he gets outa jail..
I think the raiders kinda screwed him in a way but he didnt help himself either.
I think we're good for OL depth
No thanks.
I'd rather not.
Jamarcus Russell was never a cerebral QB, which is why his talent didn't translate to the NFL. He couldn't read a defense, which didn't matter in college when he was bigger, stronger and faster than most of the defenders trying to blitz...but in the NFL, he had to actually get rid of the ball in 2-3 seconds, and not just shrug off the defenders who were trying to sack him.
His issues with abusing his body and mind since his college years certainly weren't going to improve these skill sets. I truly think Alex Smith will be a good fit for the Reid offense, but he does require some protection up front. If he gets hit too much, he'll get happy feet and start dancing in the pocket.

The 49ers own my heart, but the Chiefs will always hold a better than neutral spot for giving my favorite player a place to leave with grace...

Holy crap!!! This deserved a thread?
THAT quarterback is NOT a Pro Bowl quarterback. Never was and never will be.
