Default Jeff Allen carted off practice field with shoulder injury

This is making the selection of Fisher look very much more like the right choice.

Had nothing to do with fisher. Jeff allen was vying to start at guard. But he coumd.olay tackle as well. But this is a blow if hes out for an extended period kf time

Guess again. Last time I checked, an O-Line consists of FIVE players. One of the primary reasons for wanting Fisher or Joeckel drafted is because the Chiefs O-Line got decimated by injuries last year.

Rubbish!! Allen was a Tackle for 4 years in college. Drafting Fisher gave the Chiefs the flexibility to have Allen compete at Guard this year, since he did play there last year BECAUSE OF INJURIES !!

Allen was brought here to play guard, Fisher to play tackle. Fisher has no effect on the guard position.

No, I'm not forgetting about Stephenson. My point is Allen was a project at Guard as he wasn't supposed to be a starter in 2012. He struggled quite a bit when he did play. He filled in for an injured Stephenson at LT in the season finale and looked better at Tackle than he did at Guard. It's quite surprising he was listed as a starter at LG heading into training camp. It will not surprise me if Allen never gets his job back from Geoff Schwartz.

I didn't say it was because of Allen.
