It would be tempting to say Chiefs tight end Tony Moeaki can’t catch a break. But actually, he catches too many of them. According to Randy Covitz of the Kansas City Star, Moeaki suffered a shoulder fracture in Saturday night’s preseason game, and there’s no word on how long he’ll be out. Late preseason injuries… Read more…

Ah jeez! I like Moeaki, but I'm starting to wonder if he can ever stay healthy.

It's a shame. He seemed to be pretty talented, but his body just cannot hold up. If I were him I would strongly consider hanging up the helmet.

Yep, he'd be better served to walk away from the game as opposed to getting carried away from the game on a stretcher.

Would the team get hurt money-wise if we let him go now?

I'm probably wrong here, but I'll bet he is the reason the Chiefs only cut 14 guys. I think they were waiting for the x-ray results on Tony's shoulder. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they announce him as the final first round cut.

It's too bad. He was a fun player to watch but you can't keep a roster spot for someone who is always hurt.
