On Thursday, quarterback Josh Freeman became a free agent, able to join any other team.* So where will he go? Let’s take a broad look at every team that possibly would be remotely, potentially interested in Freeman.* In no particular order. New England Patriots:* We mention them only because the Patriots seem to always be… Read more…
Would really like to see Josh get a job somewhere. Chief's, I not sure, but I am concerned about if Alex gets hurt, not sure about our backup QB. While I like the arm of our rookie, he not ready for NFL Game time, and Chase not real sold on either. Josh Freeman, I would think about it. He is a home town type, played at Kansas State. Has NFL Starting experience, and is able to run.
All I know about Chase is he is a winner. He did okay at MU with a QB rating of 148.95 for his 3 years starting and here in Texas HS his record was 31-1 as a WR then two years as the QB that one loss was the state championship and won two others by going undefeated for the year.

I'm fine with where we are at the moment, obviously we're not in the running because in everything I've read we aren't even mentioned
I don't see a need for a 4th string QB. I personally would rather See Tyler Bray over Freeman on the field for the Chiefs. I think the only reason the Chiefs were even mentioned is because he is from KC. Maybe we could convert him to a TE!

A tight end who can also throw the ball is an interesting idea. Could make for some interesting "gimmick plays". I generally don't like them, but if used VERY sparingly, they can sometimes get you a big chunk of yardage when you need it most. That said, I think he would be a "reach" for us and suspect that whatever cap room we have available should be saved for more pressing needs that might develop.
