The Chiefs have a date with the Broncos after their bye in Week 10 and they’ll have a different look in the secondary when they get there. The team announced Tuesday that they have activated defensive back Sanders Commings off of injured reserve. Commings, a fifth-round pick this year, broke his collarbone at the team’s… Read more…

They do. They were thrilled to get him with that 5th round pick. He runs a 4.41, can tackle and can play CB or Safety. And they liked what they saw at OTA's.

Be nice if we picked up a future star in the 5th round. As much fun as this season is what I am really counting on Reid and Dorsey for is a team that can be the team to beat in the AFC West for years to come.

Had he not got hurt. We would have never picked up Cooper. If this kid pans out at all and Cooper keeps have his Rookie of the year/possibly pro-bowl type year. B. Flowers could be a cap cut candidate next year.

There are a lot of guys contracts they can restructure before they need to cut Flowers. If they really believe in Cooper long term and want him to be the starting CB, I can see them cutting Dunta and S. Smith before cutting Flowers. Remember, as long as Peyton is in this division (and probably as long as Rivers too), we need 3 starting caliber CBs to cover his spread offense.

Most likely Cooper and Smith are going to be covering the outside WRs, and Flowers is going to be covering Welker.

Dunta is not even playing now. It is his slow Butt that forced Cooper in the game. Can't believe he got a three year deal. I do expect him cut.

I don't want to see Flowers go, but he is being paid top dollar to be a NB.
