Great Analysis, CtChiefsFan! That just supports the conclusions in my "Chiefs Scoring Woes?" thread.
The perception exists that the Chiefs can't score enough to beat the Broncos and here is why. The Broncos have not scored less than 33 points in any game this year. The Chiefs have not scored more than 31 points in any game. That looks like a guaranteed win for the Broncos at first glance, but it doesn't take into account that the Broncos haven't played against the Chiefs defense and the Chiefs haven't played against the Broncos defense. The real numbers actually show that, facing each other, the Chiefs would outscore the Donkeys. That's all that matters.
We'll find out if those numbers hold up in less than a week and a half.
I don't care how many points the Donks score against the Dolts this Sunday, but I'm really anxious to see how many points they give up. San Diego is only averaging 0,1 PPG more than the Chiefs are, so that will be a real good indication of how many points the Chiefs will be able to score against Denver. Of course we know that out defense is far better than the Chargers (Chiefs 12.3 PAPG, Chargers 21.8 PAPG) so THAT will be the difference maker.
