Default "The Chiefs defense is built to stop the Broncos offense." But...

We keep hearing the analysis above all over the tube. Also in this article: http://milehighsports.com/2013/11/13...at-the-chiefs/

It's all well and good, but it's all moot when,

1- Tamba Hali is held numerous times during the game and the officials ignore them.

2- Our physical DBs are flagged on every other tight coverage of Denver receivers.

3- Our monster rushers are flagged for bad breath or other excuses for "roughing the passer" every time they are near Peyton.

    4- (fill the blank)

No, it wasn't the refs who did the Chiefs in. It was the Chiefs who did themselves in. Too many squandered opportunities. Should have been a Donkeys blowout with all the things the Chiefs failed to do, but it wasn't. Donkeys are in trouble come post-season time.

That's all I'm asking from Santa. I have said all along that I don't treat this year as ours. I'm just enjoying the ride while it lasts. But if Gods of football keep the Chiefs healthy next year, I'm pretty confident that Dorsey and Reid will add enough pieces to make this the team to beat for the Super Bowl.

I'm more worried about the Colts in the playoffs to be honest. I think they are set for us, we also lost to them the last time we were truly competitive playoff wise. Guess we'll see when we get there. Sorry, I shouldn't be looking to far ahead.

+1. The refs called a fair game. Too many dropped passes! But we'll get another crack Sunday after next, and with a crowd that'll have about 78K more chiefs fans in it.
