Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston’s elbow was too swollen for him to have an MRI on Monday, but coach Andy Reid passed along some information about the injury that knocked him out of Sunday’s 41-38 loss to the Chargers. Reid said, via Randy Covitz of the Kansas City Star, that Houston had a subluxation, or dislocation,… Read more…

Report: Chiefs LB Justin Houston likely to miss Week 13 vs. Broncos

The Kansas City defense couldn't slow down Peyton Manning when linebacker Justin Houston was in the lineup, now they might have to try and do it without him. Houston, who suffered a dislocated elbow against San Diego, will likely miss Sunday night's game against Denver, according to ESPN.com.

The pass-rushing linebacker has totaled 11 sacks this season, a number that ranks third in the NFL behind only Robert Mathis (14.5 sacks) of the Colts and Robert Quinn (13) of the Rams.

Everybody is focusing so much on The loss of Houston I think DeVito is every bit as important up front. But for sure I think we need Hali

Sucks to have gotten so many guys dinged up in a game we lost anyway.

No doubt. Best thing is to let the players that are dinged up get 100%. If they can have a healthy squad in the post-season, then who knows what could happen?

Agreed! I hate giving up on the idea of winning the West after a 9-0 start, but at this point our chances of winning the division are exceedingly slim, so I think resting the guys that are dinged up and concentrating on being as close as possible to 100% for the wildcard round is the way to go. I don't like it, but it's simply good strategy.

Once we are in the playoffs it's a whole new season! A playoff win would make this year the best season in a long long time. Naturally, I still think we have a shot at the Super Bowl.....but for right now I'd like to see us concentrate on getting into the playoffs as healthy as possible and getting at least one win there. Just that is SO MUCH MORE than I had dreamed of before the season started.

If we can do that, then I figure the sky is the limit. No more tie-breakers and all that crap, just "Win or go home". If we can get that playoff win as a Wildcard then I start to like our odds. This Chiefs team is simply one YOU CAN NEVER COUNT OUT. They respond well to pressure and just don't know the meaning of the phrase "give up".

    GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!
