    Default Jerrell Powe is back....

Which of course leads to the obvious question. Why'd they release him in the first place? Never understood that move, as he didn't look too bad in the preseason. Go figure.

    Kyle Love is gone.

Isn't he on the IR, out for the season?

Something tells me this list is from a very unreliable source.
I know that injury report is outdated, for sure.

This list probably wasn't updated cause Fasano is out with concussion. This is from kcchiefs.com lol

Back to the original thread topic ...

According to ESPN, we may have signed Powe to use him more in our base run defense and give Poe a rest and save him for passing downs. The Redskins are #1 in the NFL in rushing yards, so we will be in our base run D a lot this week. That is, unless A. Smith and the offense light up the scoreboard early and force the other teams to pass.

The more I think about this signing, the more I think it's a good move, and that the management is thinking of postseason play. Because we didn't switch to another defense at the beginning of the season, it allows Powe to come back to a D system he's worked with. Hopefully that means he'll be up to speed much faster, and by the time the playoffs are around will not just spell Poe, but be able to be a part of a more aggressive scheme at the lines.
