Branden Albert is apparently looking for a deal about $9 million/year with $25 million guaranteed. Pricier than Jake Long last year.

He's not worth it. Let him walk

4 years at $9 million would be $36 million. 5 years would be $45 million. If the above report is correct then $25 million of this would be guaranteed. IMO he simply isn't worth it. If he was willing to play at either guard, RT or LT the versatility would make him more valuable but still not $36-$45 million valuable. If he was willing to play whatever position he was most needed at and to switch around in the event of injuries then I could see him being worth between $24 and $35 million ($6-$7 million per year for 4-5 years) with $15-$20 million guaranteed but if he insists he will only play LT, then I think his value goes way down. We are in the unusual position of having 3 guys that can play LT pretty well (Fisher, Stephenson, Albert) and in this day of salary caps the most expensive of the 3 becomes expendable.

Albert needs to accept RT or G money and stay. Otherwise this demand is too freaking much and unearned.
