Rules of the site and words used!

There is a lot of strong language being used in many threads. I do not go back to work until Jan 6th. I have time and can go thru threads and issue infractions. But I will chose to not do that, if you all clean up your posts, from here on. Review the Rules, you have a problem with the rules, send your complaint to Coach directly. The rules of the site stand, the reason we have them is still the same. Yes the filters work, but some of us are typing around the filters. I think we all need a reminder, intent of use is also breaking the rules.

A most excellent decision. Keep it up! After 41 years of smoking that would be a tall order for me.

I was banned for a week for using a "word" that used all of the time. Someone ratted me out. I love the Midwest, but people are a tad too religious there. Maybe I've been living in the Northeast too long.

I'm TRULY SORRY to hear that! Just a thought.....I've been on a lot of bulletin boards that are very strict about language and yeah having been in the infantry I should be allowed to CUSS. But I have found that most boards (including this one) are OK with "ship" and "fudge". I mean HELL! We should damned well be allowed to cuss every now and then.

Bless you! Stay away from the damned cigarettes. I've got 45 years of non-filter cigarettes under my belt and if I had never started I'd be healthy and living LARGE. Don't go back to them!!!

I think our policy regarding profane language is a fair one, and I don't know of a single moderator here, myself included, who go witch hunting for board infractions. I refer to the following in our list of board rules:

"2. Use of the "F" bomb and "GD" (whether typed or included in a video) on this and every forum is strictly taboo. Mild profanity, in moderation, is excused. There are filters in place to automatically edit some of the more profane curse words, however, understand that it is possible that some will slip through. In such cases the issue will be dealt with upon discovering the infraction and the offender will be fairly warned before disciplinary action is taken. This includes any general misspellings and the use of certain characters to circumvent the filter.
1st offense: A warning infraction
2nd offense: A full warning
3rd offense: Further discipline will be reviewed by management"

If we receive a complaint we review the matter and make a decision whether or not to pursue a disciplinary action.
