A number that will forever be etched in my memory. Called my son when we got back to the hotel. "daddy I'm sorry the chiefs lost, they'll do better next time". I told him goodnite and I would see him tomorrow.

I got got off the phone told my brother what he said and it hit me. We all say they will do better next year. He's 4 and is going to learn that being a Chiefs fan is like being a Cubs fan. Forever cursed for whatever stupid reason. I know this season we exceeded expectations. But being up 38-10 in the second half and losing. I just can't stop saying it 38 to mother effin 10. If we can't win a game like that I don't think I matters what kind of team we field.

With that said Kendrick Lewis and Dunta Robinson are flat out terrible. Kendrick Lewis takes the worst angles and gets turned around more than anyone I have seen.

I sit here watching the snow. 38 to 10 is all I can think about.

Not making home tonite. In effingham, Illinois. After dinner and beer the only thing I can freaking think about is 38 to mother effin 10. My brother and I have decided this will be the game we never speak just like the kicker who will never be named. Freaking 38 to 10.

I know what the problem is Arrowhead must be built on an ancient Indian Burial grounds. We have only won what 2 post season games since it was built in 1971 and that was with the help of the best NFL QB ever? We Chiefs fans are the NFL version of the MLB Cubs.

Ya know I was really upset and disappointed with yet another one and done post season, but I have gone on with my life. I recommend that you folks find a way to do the same.

I agree I learned a couple years ago not to let the chiefs ruin my sundays after they lose. Iv made myself not to care so much when the lose that it ruins the next few days cuz in the end its just a game and I have other reasons to be happy for. I actually lose money watching every chiefs game instead of going to work. So I can either have bragging rights if we won or have more money which money always helps more then bragging rights. It just hurts we blew that big of a lead I would have lost a nail biter then 28 lead. Oh well next year hopefully.

You know I have started doing what you do, I expect them to lose and when they win I am happy, but that game was in the bag and they blew it, I thought the playoff drought was finished and we could move on without it being thrown in our face every time we turned around, but alas it was not meant to be. I used to love to gamble but over the years I decided that I was not going to win so I have turned away from going to casinos and not liking it, that is the same way I am starting to feel about the Chiefs, I am to the point I don't care if they make the playoffs because it is one and done. At least I got to see them win a SB, I was in the Army and did not really get to see it but I heard it and my mother was at the game so I know it can be done but I just feel like it won't be done.
I will still root for them but I will not get excited about it any more win or lose. I have been doing that for the last several years until the game Saturday and them being up so much just to have them crashing down in the end.

That's the approach I will be taking going into 2014 -- a 'wait and see' approach. All one has to do is remember what happened to the Falcons and Texans this past season & you get the idea. The schedule will be much tougher going against the AFC East and the NFC West. so people would do well not to get high expectations going into 2014.

Scoring 44 points on the road in a post-season game and still losing is most certainly gut-wrenching, but maybe, just maybe, it signals that the playoff drought is going to come to an end in the near future. At least the Chiefs did discover that they have a QB that can play championship-caliber football in the post-season.

Well it sucked, how do you lose a playoff game when you have it so much in control, how? How do you lose, when you come out of the half, and get additional points, it is sicking, and I at lost. But never do I despair, for really, who other than us homers expected this team to do what they did this season? Who of us a homers really expected to make the playoffs this year? Yes, I am a homer, and never expect to lose, but I am private with my expectation of how we really will do. This season exceeded by some what I expected. So for me the bitter loss experienced is tempered by the hope given by exceeding my true expectations by far this season. I believe, we are close, and this season has been fun by far more, than many before.
