    Not even. The only extra cap room we are going to get is by renegotiating some contracts.

    A month or so ago I read an article that mentioned 3 or 4 players that might renegotiate or extend their contracts for a long term deal that would actually save us some cap space in the short run. One of them was Alex Smith. Sadly I don't recall who the others were. I don't really understand the dynamics of how different types of contracts affect cap space and reading that article and trying to understand it had my head spinning. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

    I'm willing to bet the weren't Robert James and Dominique Jones.

    I've read the main people that could restructure are: Hali, and Flowers, and another option is extending contracts of Berry, and Smith. Some of the things I've read state that this may not help (restructuring especially) because it just pushes the amount we owe them to future years. Extending contracts for Berry and Smith would be the best IMO because it will lock both up and we can create a cap friendly contract while still getting them the money they want.
