    Default FA Rumors

Local media is reporting that the Chiefs know they have lost, Albert to Miami for a contract in excess of 10 million a year, Asomoah to the Falcons for 4.5 a year, Schwartz to either the Rams or Giants for 4 million a year, McCluster to a variety teams but Cleveland appear to be the front runner with Ray Farmer making the connection.

Akeem Jordan is testing fee agency knowing that N. Johnson is pushing him for his starting spot.

Adam Teicher stated that the Chiefs are looking to build through the draft including players that hey took last year.

Not sure what we will do to replace Tyson Jackson.

Last season was great, I think we go just as far this season but with not as great of a record. I say a wildcard is doable though

It's the Broncos. When it all goes to pot later, they'll just blame the HC that got them the trophy.

    @ doobs.....

You're quite correct. And I am sure there are a lot of Chiefs fans that would like us to emulate what the donks are doing. I want us to win a Super Bowl as much as any other Chiefs fan. But I will always remember the Marty years when we made the playoffs almost every year. At this point I'd be very happy with a team that made the playoffs almost every year and won a playoff game every now and then. We damn near did this year and I'll tell you true....if we had won that playoff game it would have meant as much to me as winning the Super Bowl.

This year is going to be rough. We have a brutal schedule and we've lost a lot of free agents that while not "stars" were still important this year. We wont win the west and with how tough our schedule is I'll be truly amazed if we get a wildcard slot. As much as I hate it, this is a rebuilding year.

How can you call this a rebuilding year? We have a franchise QB, the best RB in the league, a decent WR corps, an even better LB corps than last season, 2/3 of our DL (the best 2 of the 3), one of the best safety's in the league.
MOST OF WHICH WERE ALL PRO BOWLERS!!!! Everyone is forgetting that Cummings and Kelce so highly regarded for their respected positions should be able to contribute this year eliminating the urging need at both FS and TE. We've got the talent, it's just about staying healthy

I think you misunderstood me Justin. I didn't mean a rebuilding year in the sense that we are going to fall apart. I think we will be competitive right until the end of the season and miss the playoffs by a c hair. By rebuilding I meant that I think we are building a team that instead of hoping maybe perhaps we can make the playoffs we are instead building a team that would naturally expect the playoffs and would have a decent shot at the Super Bowl. Sorry I wasn't clear.

We don't have money! What do you expect us to do? Sign Revis for 13million and get draft picks taken away for violating the salary cap? I don't know what people are expecting.

    THANK YOU

Also don't forget about Marcus Cooper. He for a time did a damn nice job filling in for Flowers and showed some promise. He hit the rookie wall no doubt and struggled at the end but HE WAS A ROOKIE. That happens.

There is so much doom and gloom right now and I get it. Denver is loading up. But I will say again what they are doing is NOT a proven way to win. During the uncapped year in 2010 so many teams loaded up non of those teams won the superbowl. The Eagles were deemed "dream team" they missed the playoffs. On paper Denver is walking away with the AFC west no question but the games are not played on paper. There are so many things that can happen. We could strike gold in what is a MUCH better draft. Guys like cooper could get better. Our rookies that got hurt can be a part of the team this year. I'm not going to give Denver the west until it's done. This is the NFL. You never know what's going to happen folks.

Spot on. Reid and Dorsey are just trying to play the hand they've been dealt. Judging by the 9-0 start last year, I'd say they're doing a good job of it, too.
