The Chiefs have added some interior line depth, signing ex-Bengals guard Otis Hudson on Thursday, according to the NFL’s transactions. Hudson (6-5, 330) had stints on the Bengals’ practice squad in the 2010, 2011 and 2012 seasons and was briefly with Cincinnati last summer. He was a fifth-round pick of the Bengals in 2010. The…

How is that? He is a PS material. It is clearly a sign that it is a position of concern.

Well....that's a yawner of a signing. Maybe he turns into something.....like maybe a decent backup. Maybe not.

I have no problem with a 'good' FO signing 'projects.' Like seek says it's a sign of concern. But I have seen us sign 'projects' like Derron Cherry who was signed as a punter and became a pro-bowl safety. So who knows? Maybe this guy will surprise us too.

Reid is supposedly high on rashaw johnson at guard and said its his spot to lose. I think there just bringing in competition. Still think its a sign we wont go oline with the 1st pick. We either go wr pr de with our 1st pic if I was a betting man.

I'm betting with you on that one, as well. I like O-Lineman as much as anyone, but I have to believe that the Chiefs brass is looking in the later rounds at O-Line. WR or Defensive front 7 player is more likely with this years top draft pick.

Seems reasonable to me. Smith could certainly use more targets to throw to and then there is cause for concern about Bowe after his performance last season. So a WR seems like a pretty big need this year. I see us having a greater "need" in the secondary than on the D-line but neither is strong enough that it couldn't use some help.

All in all though, I see a WR as our biggest single "need" right now.
