Notes: The NFL has reduced the amount of time to make each pick in the first round from 15 minutes to 10.
This year, the prospective draftees are permitted to select their own "Walk up" music. That should be interesting!

The Houston Texans are on the clock.

This space is reserved for something that has nothing whatsoever to do with MatthewsChiefs. (Whoever THAT is!)

I would have liked to see us take a WR, but I'm not terribly upset with this pick. Late in the season our defense seemed to kinda run out of gas and we could have used an extra speed rusher off the end.

One trick pony edge rusher. Hope he can get after the QB. Could get smothered by bigger OTs. I'm just glad it wasn't a WR (specifically Marqise Lee).

    Absolutely agree!

LOL. I'm seeing the same reaction here I saw two years ago when we picked Poe! Our defense went in the toilet last year after Houston and Hali got hurt. We needed a DE to replace (and upgrade) TJ. We still need WRs and DBs but this was a good pick.

    He doesn't play TJ's position...

Hes not replacing tj at end cuz he will be playing olb. Inless we plan to switch to a 4-3 defense. Hes not big enough for a 3-4 end.

PEOPLE. Ford will play OLB, like Hali has been doing, not a down DE like DeVito and Walker. Use some common sense.
I couldn't agree with you more. This is a solid pick of need. Its not possible to have too any pass rushers.

He still wouldn't replace TJ if we switched to a 3-4. TJ would play 3-tech (DT).
