Chiefs quarterback Aaron Murray fell to round five in large part because of a torn ACL suffered last year at Georgia. So are there any physical limitations with Murray because of the knee? “No,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid told reporters on Saturday. “I mean, we’ve been keeping a close eye on him. I have great hopes that Murray and Bray (in no particular order) will end up as our starter and backup in the fullness of time. But right now Alex Smith is our Quarterback and I am good with that. We have 4 QBs on the roster and one of them has to go. I'm thinking it's going to be Chase Daniel.

Glad to hear he's recovered from the ACL. My hope is that competition improves the roster chart, but I'd like to see Alex Smith stay onboard until Bray or Murray are 100% ready to take the reigns. I'd agree that Chase Daniels is the odd man out, unless someone offers us a trade we can't refuse.

I wonder...I'm not sure if Bray or Murray are ready to be the number 2 and I don't see how we can keep 4 QBs on the active roster, and I doubt we want to risk having another team grab either Bray or Murray off the practice squad....Wonder if we could put Murray on the PUP or IR list but still work him, just not in games. Dunno if that is legal or not? But with the ACL history I think we have the perfect excuse to put Murray on the PUP or IR list. If we could, we could develop him for a year and then by next year either Bray or Murray would be ready to be the #2 and we could still have Daniel as the backup this year?
