Thanks Buddy! How do you feel about the FS position?

My take on FS (and pretty much our entire secondary) is this...Yeah, we could use the help. My hope is that Commings will step up this year and show KC something, too.

Dorsey did what he could with the draft picks he had (the lost second round pick turned out to be a huge loss) especially when the team really could've used a WR. This class was chock full of really good WR's but other teams knew it, and most were picked through by the third round.

I stopped watching at: "Their defense was the strength of that football team last year."

Well, we went 9-0 when the offense was garbage. Fully carried by the defense. And we went 2-6 when they faltered and the job was left to the offense.

Admittedly, they became pretty terrible after that 9-0 start. But it was that 9-0 start that took us into the playoffs.

I say it's pretty easy to make that case.

True. But no segment of a team justifies the label of "the Strength of the team" without being good all season.

That said, a major part of our D's reversal of fortune was the loss of Hali and Houston for weeks. I'd say their play was almost half of our defense in the scheme that we had.

I agree. And I certainly get where, looking at this team's second half of the season, the notion that the defense was our strength sure does seem like an error.
