I don't have an exact answer to your questions, but the article I linked on the previous page mentioned Richard Sherman and Maurice Pouncey as having both recently gotten extensions in the vicinity of 4 years/$57 million.

Highest base salary is Orakpo at 11mil/year (franchise tag). Clay Matthews has the largest overall contract (5yrs/$66mil). Here is a link:

What is Tamba making? Wouldn't you think Houston would be looking for something similar?

By the link before you it says tamba is the 4th highest olb at 6.2. So I cant see houston asking for 14 mil a year.

overthecap.com says that once you include base salary ($6.25 million), prorated bonus ($2.9 million), roster bonus ($2 million) and workout bonus ($250,000) then Tamba Hali's total compensation for the 2014 season will be $11.46 million and $11.9 million for 2015. http://overthecap.com/cap.php?Name=T...LB&Team=Chiefs I can easily imagine Houston looking to make that or a bit more. When talking about what a player makes one must always look at ALL compensation not just base salary.
