Where is Nico Johnson

This guys was supposed to be a diamond in the rough and supposed starter opposite of DJ by end of last year. Reports in camp is that he is running with the 3rd string and looking bad doing it.

This does not surprise me. Alabama defenders as of the last 10 years have not panned out in the NFL, at all. The last ones that I can remember that did pan out were Derrick Thomas, Cornelius Bennett, and Antonio Langham back in the late '80's and early 90's. I can't remember any others since then.

When asked specifically about linebacker*Nico Johnson, who had some first team reps on Saturday, Reid was complementary of the second-year inside linebacker.

"Nico (Johnson) is making improvement," Reid said. "He came back in phenomenal shape and he's a big guy so you're looking at a big, strong linebacker. You could see the strides that he's made over the last year."

Thats what reid said today about nico johnson.
