The one-game suspension of Chiefs receiver Dwayne Bowe could, in hindsight, become the domino that ultimately gives the Browns a replacement for Josh Gordon. The suspension most likely voids the remaining fully guaranteed money in Bowe’s contract: $8.75 million in 2014 and $1.5 million in 2015. It creates a window for the Chiefs to dump…

Geez we don't even have a solid #2 and they are talking about cutting Bowe this year and having Cleveland already signing him to be with Ray Farmer. The fact that this may void his guaranteed money is great news for the Chiefs by getting them out of a very bad contract mistake. If this was not the case, cutting him would be a 22 Million hit this year vs 12. I would say this is his last year pending some serious turn around and he becomes the player he is paid to be. He was signed on need last year because there was no other options and we didn't want to lose him.
I would gladly take Justin Houston or Alex Smith at the expense of Dumbowe....

I think Andre Johnson is available still.
That would be another bad contract that we would have to get invovled in. If we are gambling with our secondary and our O-line. I am perfecetly fine gambling with some of this youth on the team that is giving it their all to make the team. With our style of offense using the running backs as receiver and the core of Tight Ends our receiver really don't have to be Elite. They just need to catch the ball when thrown to just as they seemed to do in the play off game.

I really hope someone can step up and take bowes place. Though if your going by last years stats it wouldnt be hard to find a wr to match his productively. Is say we cut him after this season. And use his money for alex and houston. I think reid can find a gem at wr in the draft next year.

It really shouldn't come as a surprise this was coming down the pike. It's ironic but if Houston or Smith gets extended contracts because of Bowe getting released, it might end up being the best contribution he's ever made to the team.
