Problem is: the starters have also looked flat when they've been on the field thus far this preseason.

I miss Pioli...couldn't pick a head coach for ****, but sure as hell could put together a solid roster.

Werent you one bashing him for Cassel?

I agree his rosters were uderrated but I'm glad he's gone. We might still have Romeo because no other coach wanted to work for him

Though maybe his KC time humbled him

In hindsight, Cassel cost a 2nd rounder and a pretty cheap contract given today's QB market. And he played well at times. Any GM's demise is going to be the QB if he can't find one. But look at the rest of the roster. There were never glaring holes at multiple position groups.

And I have defended Pioli for the most part, albeit silently because saying otherwise will get you killed lol.

I got killed at times in 2012 for daring to say that Cassel wasn't the thing holding the team back someone either on here or facebook even accused me of being Matt Cassel LOL

I think offensively this team can still be good. I know they haven't looked good in the preseason but again Charles touched the ball a grand total of 5 times in the preseason. He will be getting it more then that before halftime in game number 1 this year. So we didn't really get a full fell of what this offense is going to be at all. I don't think any of us were going to be shocked if we lose Charles they were going to have trouble. Just have to hope he stays on the field

Defense well I will again give a warrning that there are going to be a lot of rant threads by me if this defense doesn't get it together. Though this team playing bad defense really isn't new they have never been as good as people think. The offense just struggled more and it didn't stick out as badly IMO

Well, to sum up the preseason...meh.

Defensively we've got issues, but there was no way this offseason was going to be able to fix much of anything with only six picks and no cap room.

Outside of the occaisional stare down...Murray looked decent. I've seen much worse QB's get #3 spots on rosters. What irritated me during this game, was when the refs got flag happy during Murray's drive.

Seek: You're so correct! It's going to be a very long season. I'm think 5-11 or 6-10 @ best. Well...living here in Boston, I'll watch every game on DirecTV til' the end. I hope we make it to the Superbowl before I die (I'm 50)
