Default Chiefs O-linemen providing an "edge' for KC?... What the...?!

This is an interesting analysis, but open to argument, IMO:

This is an interesting article, and explains a lot about what our team excels at: short passes and running the ball with JC (who hits the hole VERY quickly). It kinda makes sense, our run game isnt about powering open big holes, it is about getting that initial push to get JC clear of the DL.

Where we break down in pass protection is usually because of being overpowered, not getting beaten on the first step.

Oh, and I didnt get the impression that the article was claiming that we had a strong OL, just that we are using the new template for building an OL.

Thanks for posting that link Frankenchief! Wouldn't it be interesting if Dorsey and Reid were developing the new protottype for O-lines. That would certainly bode well for our Chiefs!

No problem. Thought it was an interesting way to look at our O-line and a way we never thought of.

I believe that is somewhat the same as "thinking outside the box" and if that is what Dorsey and Reid are doing then that is a VERY GOOD SIGN. That kind of thinking makes teams that are dominant for a long time.

LOL, innovation in Kansas City? KC hasn't seen that since Hank Stram. Maybe this IS a good sign. We won our only Super Bowl under "master innovator" Stram after all.
