Default Worried about the Bills game.

My head says we win this game. My heart is worried.

No doubt in my mind we are a better team than the Bills, but we're not as much better as we were than the Jets and if it wasn't for a couple of breaks the game against the Jets could have turned out very differently. We started the Jets game with a 14 point lead, but we really didn't put it away until late.

One good thing is that Orton is a pocket passer and our pass rush should be able to make his life miserable. Another is that Orton tends to be weak inside the red zone and our D has been pretty good at holding team to FGs.

On the other hand, as FrankenChief (I think it was) mentioned in another thread, the Bills have a habit of turning into supermen against the Chiefs and of course, we are playing in Buffalo.

IMO this is a game we SHOULD win but I see it as an easy game to lose.

If any of you fellas that know more about football than I do can explain to me why this one is already in the bag then I would surely love to hear it.

Were you the one that was "worried" about the Jets game? The only reason to be worried is because the Bills always show up against the Chiefs. If the Bills do win, I wouldn't be shocked.

That was me. I always get worried when I see a game that I think should be a certain win.

The Bills ARE playing well. If we play a full game (unlike last week where we slowed down at halftime) we should do well. Orton is actually playing REALLY well (good thing MMO isn't here to talk about how awesome he is) so it should be a good test for our secondary. Thankfully, Orton's weakness is one of our strengths: dealing with a pass rush. Hopefully Hali and Houston can come in and keep the pressure on Orton. Also, they are great against the rush ... But so are the Jets and we put up over 100 yards on the ground.

I think their RBs are both injured, so our big weakness shouldn't be too much of an issue.

If we play KC football (run the ball, pressure the QB), then we should be able to handle them.

Agreed. It's a home game for them, Orton is giving that team a spark they didn't have before, and in some ways they're in the same boat we're in as far as their division goes. Think we can win it, but this is going to be a tough game.

    That's why I'm worried.

We are a better team on paper IMO. So I'm optimistic. But we were a better team on paper than Tennessee, so there are no guarantees. Many times these close matchups come down to who wins the turnover battle. If we protect the ball, there is no reason to believe we can't win this game. I do think our secondary will get tested against the long pass play in this game. Hopefully our secondary continues to pleasantly surprise us.

I worry about every game for the most part. Over the past few seasons and all the games lost I now just expect or look for why they will lose before the game starts. I'm always hopeful for a win of course but now I worry about every game every week very rarely I get a good feeling about a game but this one is not one of them Hopefully they are still able to pull it out. This like has been said is a team the Chiefs are a bit better then. But the Bills are not a horrible team and they are going to have to earn it for sure

The bottom line here is there is NO taking ANY team lightly from this point on & we all should have learned that from the season opener versus the Titans.
