actually, yes
i am kinda hopeful we can workout a deal with torrey smith...heard john clayton talking about kc looking into signing him
i dount know if lockett will be on the board by the time we come to the podium in the third...he is starting "rise" up many draft charts(he is 5'11 176 lbs) and they talk about him all the time on the nfl channel...jeremiah and c davis think he is going to be a steal and a contributor year one. what surprised many was he ran a 4.4 so he isnt just a slot guy but can lineup outside as well
bowe smith lockett wilson hammond receiving group
getting those two safeties would be great...i think the safety position is by far the weakest position on the roster
dawson and spaight would add to second weakest position on the roster ilb
douglass and miller give the oline some much needed depth
golson the more i read on him the more i like him(would be our nickel...slot cb)(he is a freakin ballhawk!!)
davis tull olb/de...if you have heard his name yet you will
I like this thought process. I am all for addressing the WR position, and I think we will do so more through the draft than free agency. But I think we need to either move up and get one of the top WRs (White, Cooper, or possibly Parker) or else we take the BPA that is not a WR in the first. From everything I have been reading it seems like those 3 WRs are the elite, and then there are a bunch that are very similar, so I would prefer to get the top Safety in Collins, or O-line, or someone who falls, etc. and then stock up on several WRs from that 2nd tier in the 2nd and 3rd rounds rather than using a 1st round pick on them. But as many people have been saying, no one knows what Dorsey will do. But I do like the thought of non WR in first round unless we get one of the elite ones.
