I still can't believe any creditable doctor would allow a player to play again after the 2 or 3 neck surgeries Manning had. If that was me and I had that many surgeries their is a point where you're health and wellbeing is more important even more so since I've become a parent of my own daughter 17 months ago. That doctor has some serious moral issues.

So are we going to be paying Alex Smith approximately the same as arguably the leagues best regular season QB?
That's who will make more than alex next year. Sam being the last first overall pick before the rookie salary cap
Quarterback Team Base Salary Drew Brees Saints $18.75M Tony Romo Cowboys $17M Eli Manning Giants $17M Philip Rivers Chargers $15.75M Jay Cutler Bears $15.5M Peyton Manning Broncos $15M Cam Newton Panthers $14.66M Sam Bradford Rams $12.98M Alex Smith Chiefs $11.9M
Right but doesnt Smith have something like 3.5M of his signing bonus that counts towards each year? So that would put him above Peyton's contract with both of them having incentives to get even more. I may be wrong, but that is what I read. Thanks for the chart, its nice to have all that info in one place.
Good to see another one of my threads has turned into a bashfest
