    Default Draft pick trade discussion.

I have been on here a loooong time, I dont post many threads.
Are we able to use compensated picks for trade deals to move up? We should be getting ?? 4 compensation picks? With losing Bowe and only getting Maclin we still are in need of a true #1 WR.
Sitting at 18 there will not be a WR left worth taking at that spot. I say trade up to 3-4 and get Cooper or White (if we can use compensated picks to get there).

Jaelen Strong is well worth a mid-first round pick.

It's funny when people say only this guy or this guy is worthy of a 1st rounder. When 90% of people don't amount to being anything great. Most 1st rounders end up being role players. I was rewatching a draft from a few years ago, and the announcers were talking like Beanie Wells was the best RB in the draft, and the ONLY one worthy of that high of a pick. Then McCoy goes in another round....

Glad to. I don't know everyting and never will. I learn a lot here. If I can pass on something I have learned then it's a good day.

As an aside....I like the projection of comp picks you posted. A 3rd, 2 5ths and a 7th would be pretty good. 2 5ths would be pretty good considering we just dealt our regular 5th to the Saints.

You can't trade compensatory picks, but we do have our own pick in every round except for the 5th. I would love to see them move up and grab players in every round. We'll probably end up with at least 10 picks. There's no way 10 draftees make this roster. I'd rather trade up, or possibly trade away this year's later round pick for a higher rd pick next year. I'm still hoping we go WR in rd 1. Turn a weakness into a strength.

I disagree bjt also agree with pro angler. I think maclin is a good #1. No hes not a calvin johnson. But i agree we still need to draft a wr. Theres more than 2 receivers wlrthy of a 1st round pick. I think angler only considers them #1 receivers if their like calvin johnsons which is a bit way to picky and to high of expectation for a #1 receiver. I think kevin white will be the closest to a johnson caliber this year. Cooper i dont think is as talented as white still will be a solid receiver. Od like strong or parker or beckham with our 1st pick. I dont see white or copper falling down far enough for us to be able to trade up for.
