    Default Official Draft Day Thread

Since nobody has started the official draft day thread, as of yet, I'll do it here.

Post your responses to the draft as it transpires here.

With 10 picks, this is a great opportunity for Dorsey/Reid to bring a stable of good football players to the Chiefs team. Let's get it done.

Go over here to follow the draft live if you wish:

Pioli was the worst GM in the history of this franchise... and it's not even close.

You won't get any argument from me on that one. Pioli was more of a politician, than he was football GM.

You'd have to go back to the Schaaf and Steadman era.

I wonder if the Chiefs don't try to get this guy heavy in the weight room to add size. He has average athletic ability at OLB but if he got a little bigger, he could be an above average ILB.
He's an ILB..a run stuffer in the middle

It's a departure...but Dorsey tended to swing more to team needs this draft.

They were also terrible. Lamar Hunt really should have brought back Don Klosterman, somehow, right after the Chiefs won Super Bowl IV.

you know I too always blamed the GMs for the drafts but after hearing some comment on past drafts a lot of it was coaches and some owners doing. no it can still be argued that the GM should have had big enough cayuckies to stand up for his own choice....but they do need to work with/for those guys.

    ps. pioli still sucked btw

Not yet. He played in the middle in Nickel and Dime packages, but played mostly OLB. He could probably be the heir to Derrick Johnson if he gets a little bigger. Johnson is 6-3 242 where Wilson is 6-2 230. Like I said, if he can hit the weight room and add 10-15lbs, he will have elite speed just like D.J. at that ILB spot.

Currently, he's a bit of a tweener that needs to go into the season about 15lbs heavier.

Actually, Wilson was at 238 lbs, at his pro Day according to a video I just saw of one of the Chiefs scouts over at kcchiefs.com. So, he's not far off from what you're suggesting.

Chiefs up for the next two picks.
