    Default My ultimate NFL dream...

All teams finish 8-8, and all tie breakers are in place.

I know a lot won't get this dream,

but it would truly show parity.

Won't happen any time soon. The Chiefs are building a dynasty.

Then I missed your point. My apologies. As to optimism....well yeah...but with almost 50 years as a Chiefs fan what choices do I have???? Basically, optimism or suicide.

A man in the desert thinks 1 cup of water is the finest elixor he has ever drunk.

But y'know....this is the best Chiefs team we have had in a long damned time. And that isn't optimism.

True without a doubt. But if the last 2 years are any indication we have one of the best teams we have had in a long time.

Things looked good on paper in 2012, but this time there's a major difference. There is not the political zoo that we saw in 2012 being orchestrated. This year it's a bonafide football operation that wants to get back to the post-season. And they have all the same coaches returning from the previous two seasons.

To me that is really the biggest difference in the Chiefs. Our entire coaching staff and front office is simply miles ahead of the Pioli era. Pioli is a moron. Romeo was a good guy that got promoted WAY beyond his abilities. Todd Haley was out of his depth. Compare those clowns with Dorsey-Reid-Sutton-Taub. NO CONTEST.

It's a funny thing but being real good at one thing doesn't mean you'll be good at the next step up the ladder. Reid was a great Head Coach in Philly for quite a while but when he became GM AND Head Coach the wheels came off. It's clear that Reid gets plenty of input with Dorsey but what he is RESPONSIBLE for is coaching. Which is what he is good at.

Andy Reid can build a team. As just give him time.
