Could Chase Daniel beat out....

Could Chase Daniel beat out these projected starters - Matt Cassel, RG3, Josh McCown, Brian Hoyer, Nick Foles, Sam Bradford, Andy Dalton, Ryan Fitzpatrick, or, I dare say, Alex Smith?
I think Chase is ready to start somewhere. And why do you guys think that Chase isn't getting a legit shot to beat out Smith? Money?
Is Chase the next Big Ben? Aaron Rogers? Who knows. But I will say this:
Chase Daniel is the best QB on the Chiefs roster. There - I said it. Nothing against Alex - he's ok. But it looks like it's gonna take an injury before Chase gets his shot.

Here are my thoughts. Alex smith was brought in here as a bridge gap qb. I don't think anyone pinned him as a solid qbotf. He has kept the chiefs respectable. But he will never be a top 5 or even top 10 qb performance wise.does he have the talent to become one well he has been in the league for many years now so if he does he better damn well show it this year. As for Daniels he could very well be a late bloomer like warner and gannon. There is no denying the fact he is bringing a spark with him in these pre season games and has been very reliable as a backup qb yes talking the chargers games. So if Alex has reached his ceiling I don't think it's good enough. And if chase is a late blooming diamond in the rough I say bring it on. 3 years ago the Seahawks had a no name qb who came off the bench with a ton of drive and energy to create just enough spark to be pretty damn good. So step it up Alex or be gone. And enough excuses for the guy it's a make break year for him Imo I hope he pulls it off

I won't argue that, like I said he wasn't lights out but his compusure and decision making was much better of many other back ups and starters we have thrown out there. Given the amount of work he has seen against starters, he is has showed the poise to possibly build from. We won't know who he is until he plays more. Is he Brodie Croyle, Tyler Thigpen or Rich Gannon just waiting for his shot????

I wish no ill will towards Alex. Believe you me, I hope he leads us to a playoff win this year. All the pieces are here. I wanna see less overthrown passes, less projecting his target, faster reads and decision-making, and less checkdowns. But if he doesn't get us there, many on this site will blame the OL and/or WR's anyway. I say it's time to stop blaming many for one. If we're sitting 1-3 or 2-2 after the 1st quarter if the season, why not give Chase a shot.

Because were not going 1-3 or 2-2 the first 4 were can and probably will go 3-1 or 4-0 they are gonna be no problem

If your prediction for the 1st 4 games is right then we win the division and at least 1 playoff game. If we go 4-0 in the 1st 4 games I will scrounge up some betting money and go to the casino in Southeastern Ct to place a few bets. I sure as hell hope you are right C4L.

Well I don't think I will be wrong but if iam I will admit I was wrong, I believe the hardest game of the first 4 is at Green Bay, tough, loud hard place for anyone to win, I know Denver in week 2 is a short week but I feel we will be better prepared for it than last year, 6 P's perfect preparation prevents piss poor performance

I'm just ready for a championship. And hey, I hope it's Alex that gets us there. I'm not getting any younger. It's time. Playoff win this year, SB next year, and Chiefs Dynasty until Andy retires. Do it. OR, SB win this year! And SB wins for the rest of this decade will do nicely! Yeah, that'll work.
