Default Why we are changing TD songs explained. Interesting.

Chiefs president opens up about why team is changing touchdown celebration song | The Kansas City Star
"We’re much better at celebrating traditions — it’s part of our core — than we are at changing traditions," Donovan began. "(But) this was one that we looked at over the last few years, and the reality is the performer and composer of the song is in a maximum security prison for crimes against children, and we just didn’t want to be associated with that song in any way, either directly or indirectly through a cover song."

I don't know. Know one even knows he wrote it. But everyone knows we are going to beat the hell out of you. You you you you you.

Still hate the new suggestions. Maybe wouldn't be so bitter if it was a newer song to get the crowd pumped up or even a custom song just for the chiefs.

The only options that should be considered are 80's rock, like Ozzy Osbourne Let Me Hear You Scream

The name of the song is "Rock and Roll (Part 2)"

I can't believe the Chiefs have a problem with the song NOW! They didn't have a problem with it after he was convicted of child pornography possession in 1999, or when he was convicted of molesting children as young as 11 yrs old in Viet Nam in 2006. But now after a 3rd conviction - this one for having sex with a 13 or 14 yr old in the UK in 2015 - they say they can't play a cover version of the song because Gary Glitter wrote it?

I'm glad to see that they are finally taking the moral high road, but if that is the reason, why didn't they ban the song a long time ago?
